Accusation vs. Reality: Bain Never Authorized Vacation Rental conversion
In the lawsuit, Geoff Bain is accused of telling a unit owner in February 2025 that they could convert their apartment into a vacation rental, allegedly saying “yes” from both his perspective as a Board member and from BORS’s point of view.
It’s not surprising that the plaintiffs continue to spread lies and try to claim the Board said things that were clearly never said. At no point did Geoff Bain say “yes.” He explained the legal framework: any short-term rental requires City and State approvals (CO, CU, and DBPR). The lawsuit’s claim mischaracterizes his response. In fact, the word “yes” does not appear anywhere in the email chain below.
